APPLICATIONS

Electric floor heating systems with an output of 150 W/m² can be used as a primary heating source in the areas where the heating demand is not too high. Commonly such applications are bathrooms, kitchens as well as living rooms and bedrooms which are not located in the basement or directly under the roof.

For rooms with a higher heat requirement (e.g. cellar rooms, conservatory or roofs), electric floor heating systems with 150 W/m² serve only for the floor heating purposes. If you wish to heat up your room we recommend our heating mats with an power output of 200W/m².

Our electric heating mats can be installed under all flooring types, that are covered with a tile glue or leveling compound (eg tiles, stone, glued parquet / carpet, etc.). If you install the underfloor heating using dry (floating) method, we recommend our aluminum heating mats.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The use of a thermostat is mandatory when operating  electric underfloor heating. Choose your thermostat in a kit and save compared to the single unit prices.

The heating mat is installed either in the screed or directly in the tile glue / leveling compound.

Electric underfloor heating should not be installed under stationary furniture without air circulation underneath (e.g kitchen cell). For this reason, the heating mat is generally installed with a wall spacing of at least 60 cm. In bathrooms, however, a wall distance of at least 3 cm will commonly be planned. The carrier material of the heating mat can be cut during installation but not the cable! Use the aid of our calculator to plan your underfloor heating.

We always recommend to use proper insulation with the underfloor heating to avoid unnecessary heat loss and consequential higher energy bills.

For an installation of the electric underfloor heating system under a glued flooring, a digital thermostat with display is to be selected (e.g. TP520, SE200 or MCS350), that allows a precise control over temperature and avoid damaging of sensible floor comerings (e.g. glued carpet, parquet, laminate).
